Trudi Foggo - painter
Having reached burnout from working in both education and social work for 14 years, I handed in my notice and wondered what on earth I could do next. I was 54 years old, and I was already attending life drawing classes at Malvern College.
I went to talk to Caroline Park and an hour later was signed up for Access to Art with a view to going to Hereford to do a degree in Fine and Applied Art – which I dd and graduated with a First in 2008. I then became involved in Worcestershire Open Studios which I have done for the seven out of nine years it has been running.
During the intervening years I have also exhibited at Elmslie House and the Take 4 Gallery and it is wonderful to be part of this cooperative going forward.
I walk the Malvern Hills daily with my dog and they supply the inspiration for my painting, which is an abstracted version of the area with a liberal dose of artistic licence!
