Jo Dewar - Mixed Media
Jo has been working with copper wire and textiles for over 20 years. She loves the malleability of wire and has created many pieces either into jewellery or 3D work.
She has rediscovered her love of painting and uses her textile skills to create collage with mono printing that is used in the body of her acrylic paintings.
These two disciplines have been fused together and she paints onto canvas and makes the paintings into vessels to compliment the 2D artworks. Jo has a love of colour and texture which is apparent in the pieces of work she creates.
She loves of landscapes, seascapes and floral studies and works in semi-abstraction that intensifies the natural forms and enjoys working from home in her Mongolian yurt where she also holds sketchbook workshops.
